The goal of Podbuntu is to produce an easy to use Linux distro with powerful diagnostic and repair tools for the home PC hobbyist or the PC repair tech professional. It also contains preset configurations to give you quick access to the Podnutz community.

Podbuntu is the brainchild of Podnutz co-host, Linux maven, Android App Addict, LinuxBasix co-founder, and all-around nice guy, the DoorToDoorGeek, Steve McLaughlin. The idea for Podbuntu came from Steve's passion to give back to the open-source and Podnutz communities that he is so passionate about. Steve is constantly giving back through a number of podcasts found at both Podnutz and LinuxBasix. To him, Podbuntu, as well as being a Linux distribution designed for PC techs, is based around his own desire to learn and also teach others in the benefits of open-source and provide easy access to the Podnutz community.

As for the community at the heart of this project, Podnutz Tech Network is a network of like-minded PC tech enthusiasts and professionals. The community consists of a range of podcasts covering different tech-related topics at a range of experience levels. It also hosts a very active forum, a helpful IRC channel and a TeamSpeak 3 server. So there is a myriad of options to either talk shop or seek advice. All of this would not be possible if it was not for the man himself, Steve Cherubino, and his great team of co-hosts and experts.
