Who thanks
Description Gnoppix Linux was developed in September 2002 and was based on Debian GNU/Linux 3.0 (Woody).

After the successful public launch of Gnoppix in 2003, Gnoppix Lead Andreas Müller was hired by Canonical to implement Gnoppix Linux LiveCD functionality into the 1st Ubuntu 4.10 aka Warty in 2004. Since Ubuntu and Gnoppix Linux became identical, the Gnoppix Project was stopped, as there was no longer a need for it. Andreas then founded the Kubuntu Project.

Gnoppix Linux was relaunched in 2021 during the COVID-19 pandemic. Gnoppix is and was always based on Debian GNU Linux. It is free and secure to use, no personal datas were taken nor uploaded to somewhere.

Gnoppix Linux is a user-friendly Linux distribution that makes the power of Linux accessible to everyone. It comes with a familiar user interface and all the apps and tools you need for everyday use.

Gnoppix Linux is the perfect operating system for people who want a fast, reliable, and secure operating system that is also easy to use.

Gaming ready

Compatible with your documents and files
Gnoppix makes it easy to access and use your files, no matter what format they're in. It comes pre-installed with LibreOffice, which lets you open, edit, and save Microsoft Office documents. And if you have Windows installed on your computer, you can easily access your Windows files from within Gnoppix.

Gnoppix Connect
Enabling communication between all your devices.

Shared Files and Links between devices.

Want to transfer that album with photos from the latest family trip or birthday party between your computer and smartphone? Gnoppix Connect makes this easier than ever before. You can also browse your phone files remotely or quickly open a link on the other device.

GnoppixTV is an IPTV streaming application with support for live TV, movies and series.

It can support multiple IPTV providers of the following types: M3U URLs, Xtream API's and local M3U playlists.

Easy backup and restore
Gnoppix TimeMachine allows you to easily backup restore a previous state of your Linux Desktop

If enabled, Gnoppix will automatically create a new snapshot when you install a new dependency.

If something goes wrong, go to the Snapshots section, click restore, and restore the previous state. Supereasy.
