KIARA (\"Kiara Is A Rescursive Acronym\") is my homemade non-guru solution to the problem of how to indulge my preference for KDE 3 indefinitely, at least much of the time.  Kiara is Slax 6.1.2 with additional packages mostly ported from Slackware 12.2, and continually upgraded web applications from Mozilla, Opera, and Adobe flashplayer.  For me, using the very latest web browsers makes the KDE3 era software seem reasonably up to date, and the live CD format removes concerns about security, since a comprimised system can be wiped clean with a reboot.

This is KIARA 2.3, released September 30, 2011

It contains:

Firefox 7.01
Seamonkey 2.4.1
Thunderbird 7.0
Adobe Flashplayer 10.3
and the installer for Opera 11.51

And the following added packages, mostly ported from Slackware 12.2
