Emmabuntüs is a desktop Linux distribution based on Xubuntu. It strives to be beginner-friendly and reasonably light on resources so that it can be used on older computers. It also includes many modern features, such as large number of pre-configured programs for everyday use, dockbar for launching applications, easy installation of non-free software and media codecs, and quick setup through automated scripts. The distribution supports English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese and Spanish languages.

On March 15, 2017, the Emmabuntüs Community is pleased to announce the release of Emmabuntüs 3 version 1.04 (32 and 64 bit) based on Xubuntu 14.04.1.

This new version supports our efforts even more efficiently, thanks to this four improvement axis:

* the solidarity, with the Lilo search engine,
* the reuse, by supporting the new UEFI standard during the installation,
* the integration of all the improvements made on Emmabuntüs Debian Edition, since more than one year,
* Usage of the 3.13 kernel, which is embeded in the Xubuntu 14.04.1, in order avoid kernel changes not induced by Xubuntu versions newer than the 14.04.1.

This version 1.04 includes the following fixes and enhancements:
