A community remaster by marcos, based on Mepis 8.0.06 (Debian 5 \"lenny\" oldstable) using the 2.6.27 linux kernel.

Main features include:

LXDE and GDM.

Audacity, giver, and some other gtk based applications.

Does not contain any KDE packages nor base tools, but does include the KDE main libraries
so the user can install KDE specific packages without the need to have KDE.

All packages updated 26/04/2009

To use the Mepis Assistants or Mepis installer launch them from the command line as superuser
or manually create an entry to launch them with gksu.

Note: As this remaster is oldstable, please use caution if upgrading.
