The third generation of Ubuntu LTS has arrived. The 14.04 version (Trusty Tahr) has 5 years of support given to both desktop and server version.

The LTS versions are released every 2 years. The next generation LTS is also expected at 2016.

LTS means "Long Term Support" and is intended for systems with stability and longevity preferred.

Ubuntu GNOME is alike the standard Ubuntu release but instead of Unity desktop it is bundled with the GNOME desktop.
