ArchBang Linux is a lightweight distribution based on Arch Linux. Using the labwc Wayland compositor, it is fast, up-to-date and suitable for both desktop and portable systems. Besides GreenBANG, the project also develops a distribution called SwayBang featuring the Sway Wayland compositor.

Some frequently asked questions about ArchBang:

What is the user/root password? With ArchBang live user and root passwords are not set, if you need to be root then use sudo.

Why do you ask for donations? While ArchBang iso images are free to use, hosting and domains cost real money.

Can I update ArchBang to latest release? Not directly but you could copy/transfer themes/configs from a recent iso to a target system.

Do I need a network connection to install? No network connection is required to install ArchBang.

How many people work on ArchBang project? Just me!

What desktop/window manager do you use? I currently use Sway.

What can I do to help? Some feedback, coffee or a small donations.

What is your favourite Arch spin off? Has to be EndeavoursOS gets better with every release.
