Emmabuntüs DE 3 is a desktop Linux distribution based on Debian 10 Xfce/LXQt. It strives to be beginner-friendly and reasonably light on resources so that it can be used on older computers. It also includes many modern features, such as large number of pre-configured programs for everyday use, dockbar for launching applications, easy installation of non-free software and media codecs, and quick setup through automated scripts. The distribution supports English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese and Spanish languages.

On March 1st 2021, the Emmabuntüs Collective is happy to announce the release of the new Emmabuntüs Debian Edition 3 1.04 (32 and 64 bits), based on Debian 10.8 Buster distribution and featuring the Xfce/LXQt desktop environment.


This Debian Edition 1.04 version includes the following fixes and enhancements :
- Based on Debian 10.8
- Added the langages management through the .po file
- Replaced Teamviewer par DWService
- Replaced Skype by Jami
- Replaced SMTube by FreeTube, for the 64 bits version
- Removed the absoleted Adobe Flash
- Removed the absoleted Jitsi desktop
- Removed the absoleted Java8
- Removed Redshift, which is no longer functioning after the latest update of Geoclue, inducing a problem to respect the GDPR under Xfce/LXQT
- Updated: Kiwix 2.0.5, Ancestris 10, Firefox ESR 78.8.0, Thunderbird 78.6.0, MultiSystem 1.0454 (08/02/2021)
