The backdrops directory has been moved from /usr/share/xfce4 to /usr/share/backgrounds.
Known issue: Desktop Settings->Backgrounds->Folder to select a different directory for a custom background doesn't work. So, insert, es root, your favorite wallpaper in the backdrops directory.
