Emmabuntüs DE 4 is a desktop Linux distribution based on Debian 11 XFCE/LXQt. It strives to be beginner-friendly and reasonably light on resources so that it can be used on older computers. It also includes many modern features, such as large number of pre-configured programs for everyday use, dockbar for launching applications, easy installation of non-free software and media codecs, and quick setup through automated scripts. The distribution supports English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Danish and Spanish languages.

On February 27th 2023, the Emmabuntüs Collective is happy to announce the release of the Emmabuntüs Debian Edition 4 1.03 update (32 and 64 bits), based on the Debian 11.6 Bullseye distribution and supporting both Xfce and LXQt desktop environments.

For this version 1.03, the following and improvements and fixes have been implemented:
- Distribution based on Debian 11.6 Bullseye
- Added parental control CTparental
- Added Deb-get and Deborah utilities in 64-bit version
- Updates of : Firefox ESR 102.8.0, Thunderbird 102.8.0, Ventoy 1.0.88, Multisystem 1.0461, Warpinator 1.4.4, The Debian Bullseye beginner's handbook 11.4
