Toorox is a Gentoo-based live DVD which boots into a KDE desktop using KNOPPIX hardware auto-detection and auto-configuration technologies. It is a useful tool for backing up data, browsing the Internet anonymously, or taking a first look at the capabilities of Linux. The live DVD can be installed to a hard disk with the help of a simple graphical installer.

Toorox 08.2012 \"XFCE\" and \"LITE\" have been finished and is ready
for download. This release bases on linux 3.3.8-gentoo and contains
the latest desktop environment Xfce 4.10. Compiz has been built into
the XFCE Edition for a little bit eye-candy. The default apps for www
and mail are now Chromium and Claws-Mail. All packages have been
updated: Xorg-Server 1.12.3, Mesa 8.0.4, Chromium 21.0.1180.55,
