PC-BSD is an easy-to-install-and-use desktop operating system, based on FreeBSD. The user is provided with a graphical installer to allow simple installation for even UNIX novices. It pre-configures KDE, graphics drivers, sound, and networking so that the desktop can be used immediately. A graphical software installation and update system makes installing pre-built software and updating it as easy as it is on other popular operating systems. One of this operating systems most notable features is that it comes pre-configured to use the ZFS file system.
