SimplyMEPIS 8.5 is built on Debian 5.0 \"stable\" using the 2.6.32 Linux kernel and includes many excellent programs for office, internet, email, and messaging. Also included are basic multimedia applications for working with music, images, and video.
SimplyMEPIS 8.5 ships with KDE 4.3 desktop, and the \"MEPIS Assistants\" graphical tool suite.
The LiveCD allows you to test-drive this distribution without making any changes to your computer, and can also be used as an installer or rescue disk.
